My brother Joe and I had an awesome weekend in Pacific City thanks to the O’Farrell family, who invited us to the beach for the weekend. Mr. O’Farrell took some great video on Sunday when the whole family walked down to the beach for “Kayak Time”. It was pretty cool since Joe and I had to train and they not only understood, but set aside time to come watch and support us. They are a fantastic family and we made great friends this weekend and it was really fun. We spent the entire weekend with our friends Cassie, Carrie and the Clan at their grandparents; house overlooking Winema Beach. They made us feel like a part of the family and it was nice to get away for a few days. We brought their cousin who was visiting from Moscow, Idaho from Portland when we drove to the beach to meet them. She is absolutely one of those cool people you meet that just make you glad you got up that day. We found out she lives just 20 minutes from the Salmon River which has some of the best paddling in Idaho and is definitely on our must visit list for this season. When we came home and told Dad, we also found out our cousin from Tigard is at the University of Idaho and we have an Uncle we have never met that now lives there as well too…….. Watch for us to come knocking at the door this spring!!
