I did the Clackamas today. It was at about 1500cfs, so nothing really exciting, but fun all the same. Melissa has built up her confidence in paddling again after hurting her back a while ago and she came along. We put in above Fish Creek and paddled down to Bob’s. Because the water was so low, there were not alot of features, but there were some. We stopped to play at the wave above Carter Falls for a little bit and then headed downstream. I was still very tired from paddling everyday last week so I wasn‘t doing as well as I usually do. I also didn‘t get a lot of sleep the night before, so that could have been part of my problem too. We also stopped to play at the ToiletBowl wave w which was barely in and very hard to paddle out to. The hole above Bob’s was in, but I was so tired that I only took a couple of rides. ThenI went down toBob’s which still isn‘t in at these levels despite what I might of thought changed from last week. It was a good confidence builder for Melissa and I learned that I need to rest the night before I go paddling. It was a good run though. Thanks Melissa for dragging me out =).
